Agree wigh David L...

Weakness down our right side id costing us gosls in almost every game...all 3 at Spurs...

Not haing a good right back cost us key points last season and this...

FFS...why was this not sorted and still relying on Antonio..???

More MotD2 - why do Everton and Lukaku look good against us?

I know it's only highlights, but they looked awful vs Soton

Perhaps if they hadn't bought ordinary Spaniards like Anders Herrera they would be doing better.

Good work by Koeman. Gets the hump when asked about Josh Sims and makes a bit of a prick of himself.

Funny as fuck. 'We are entitled to beat these little teams, and yet they refuse to just roll over and let us do it! Waaaagghhh.."

They controlled the game from the kick-off?

Mourinho needs to stamp on their mad idea of forcing the opposition to score the first goal...

He said they controlled the game from the kick off, hmm and there was me thinking their first touch of the ball was De Gea picking it up out of their goal

Agree - especially him claiming we got a 'lucky goal'. What an idiot

How can he say they controlled the game right from the kick off, and yet we scored so quickly. Big BURKE.

Less that 30% of the possession but 50% of the goals in the game? Where's the problem with that relationship?

We've still not got a settled balanced team, but that should change as players return to the squad pool.

Today's result says for me that we CAN go to OT and not lose, so there's a psychological advantage there on the pitch to complement the pressures off the pitch.

Plus, don't forget that Man U have, as a prime driver, getting Champions League games next season so would not really want the distraction of a minor cup competition - they have already, after all, stuck two fingers up at the world's oldest..

Right back area is still a problem. We kept getting carved open there again today as we did last week. We're asking too much of Antonio

We battled well and a draw is a decent result. We could easily have had a penalty for the handball but those sort of decisions don't go for teams like us at Old Trafford. The ref had a good game though and didn't allow himself to be intimidated.

My only complaint is that we kept losing possession too easily. We have to do more with the ball to take the pressure off the defence.

Well in my lifetime we have rarely got a result up there, excepting the FA QF filmed off pitch malarkey of course

On it we struggled, of course there was the PDC game and a couple in more recent times but we just folded in general

We did not fold today and whilst that is not the best Utd side in time it comprises many very good players - we looked a side in patches and a good one at that, just so pleased the cunt section hired in the summer did not get on to fuck it all up again

Good and well deserved result - now for the cup...

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
will say it for the last time on this thread.

this system, whilst it does make us more solid at the back due to having more bodies, also makes us terrible going forward. isolated, lacking width and numbers in the middle of the park.

it's worrying for me that rather than resolving the problems we were having with 4 at the back, we just added another man and plugged a hole, leaving a hole elsewhere.

imho, there are compromises all over the team (antonio's position, midfield, payet not tracking back, etc) to accommodate the big name players. think we ought to get back to basics personally, which is last years system.

and yes, it all came from not addressing the fullback and striker positions in the summer, rather buying midfielders and wingers we didnt need.

And yet another sending off...it's not working for him again...own worst enemy...

Things are looking up, losing Sakho again is a blow but Fletcher looked a handfull when he come on so give him the nod.

A point at old trafford is always a great result
